Hannah's Manifesto
"My name is Hannah Brown. I have lived in Gedling since I was born in September 1992. I think that I should be elected as a Member of Youth Parliament because I will pledge the following…
To give young people the right to vote at sixteen years of age because I feel that young people at that age are able to vote because they are old enough to know what the election is all about. And at the age of sixteen they are coming to be an adult. But I don’t think that when you can vote that you have to wait until you are eighteen years of age because as I have said that at sixteen you start to vote and get a feeling in what it feels like to vote for a new Prime Minister.
I think as well that when people are grown up and in their thirties they will know what they are doing and what it is about and why it is an important thing to do."
