The UK Youth Parliament aims to give all young people aged 11-18 a voice which will be heard and listened to by local and national governments, as well as services and agencies involved with working with young people.
The parliament meets on an annual basis and this years meeting took place in Leicester, where 400 MYP joined in. These members are from various ethnic backgrounds and include young people with physical and learning difficulties.
The UK Youth Parliament aim for 2007 is for all young people to be aware that they have their own youth parliament and that they can become part of it.
