Accredited Courses available at all three Adventure Bases - Usually 10 or 13 hours of tuition over 5 or 6 sessions;

BCU 1 Star 5 x 2 hour sessions in kayak and canoe skills. Syllabus includes: - Basic strokes;
- Safety awareness;
- Equipment handling;
- Capsize drill and swim.
Prices as follows: A = £250, B = £125 (Certificates are no longer available, pass slips will be given and these can be sent to the BCU for certificates at a cost of £5 each.) See Adventure price structure.
BCU 2 Star
5 x 2 hour sessions in kayak and canoe skills plus a river trip of 3 hours (from Lakeside or Sandhill Lake). Syllabus includes: - Developed strokes;
- Safety awareness;
- Equipment handling;
- Capsize drill and swim;
- River trip.
Prices as follows: A = £330, B = £165 (Certificates are no longer available, pass slips will be given and these can be sent to the BCU for certificates at a cost of £5 each.) See Adventure price structure.
