The Works is a Free music workshop program run for young people. The main focus of the programme will be on playing, songwriting, performing and recording, both as bands or solo performers. Tutors will assess and structure the workshops according the needs and abilities of the students, so you may end up in band with other similar musicians or playing as a songwriter, or you may even be an existing band!

Specialist tutors will give tips and advice at sessions, but we will be concentrating on getting students to play and perform together and developing your songwriting skills, leading to participation in the main Rockschool week Young people should bring any equipment they intend to use at the workshop sessions.

Places will be limited - the first ten applicants in each area will get an Academy of Sound musicians' goody bag of free stuff including strings, t-shirts, tuner, sticks & stickers.

Age limit is 12-18 yrs old.
