Hearts and Minds Project

Earlier this year a group of young people across Nottinghamshire, took up the opportunity offered by County Youth Arts to attend a series of workshops to produce a number of outcomes, in various art forms, based around the topic of emotional health and well being.

These events included:

• Literature workshops;
• Drama and Dance workshops;
• Postcard design workshops;
• Podcasting workshops;
• Video editing and DVD production;
• VJ performance event.

Some examples of their work can be found below:

• How are you feeling today (edited from the 'Hearts and Minds' DVD)
  This covers outcomes from the literature and poetry workshops and reflects issues that affect young people, and how they feel about them emotionally.

  This is an overview of the project
• Performance Podcast movie
  This is an edit of the VJ performance held at the Old Library, Mansfield on 21st February 2008, featuring music, footage, poetry, statements, video footage, drama and dance produced by young people on the project.
• Project Podcast movie
  This is an overview of the project, produced by Gareth Naylor, a young person at the podcast workshop, assisted by Reg Clegg.
• Postcard movie
  This is a podcast covering the design of the postcards, produced by young people at the Emmaus Trust in Newark. This was also produced by Gareth Naylor, a young person at the podcast workshop, assisted by Reg Clegg
