Kangaroo
Kangaroo is a multi-media, interactive CD-ROM and Internet gateway produced by the East Midlands Connexions Consortium. In Nottingham and Nottinghamshire it is available in every Connexions Centre and has been sent to all schools and colleges.
Kangaroo is packed with information and advice for young people and adults on learning, career planning, jobs, starting work and managing your future. Its key feature is that it has local information and links. Content is arranged into zones and buttons so that navigation is easy. There are interactive games, such as the health and safety "Oops, ouch aargh!" exercises, the "Dream Job" virtual job interview, and "Career Trek".
Young people and adults can link to the web and use online resources that have been selected by our information professionals, so they know that the information they find is directly relevant.
