Building Schools for the Future
Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is a long term programme of investment and change that will result in every secondary school in England being rebuilt, remodelled or upgraded. It will transform the life chances of children and young people of Nottinghamshire through raising standards in schools and promoting the integration of services.
BSF is not just a building programme. It provides Nottinghamshire with the opportunity to transform the way secondary schools function, developing buildings for the 21st century with teaching and learning to match. The Nottinghamshire BSF programme is about more than just creating new school buildings; it’s about working collectively to transform the way children learn, and the way the wider community support this and engage in their own continuing education.
The BSF program offers enormous potential for the whole of the county. It is about Creating Learning Communities by transforming schools into centres for integrated and co-located services which help to regenerate local communities.
The aim of the programme is to work together to provide integrated services for all children and young people in Nottinghamshire to improve their life chances and to help them to maximise their potential
