The review began in September 2006 to consider a proposal from Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust for a change in the local NHS at Millbrook.

The proposals were for a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and a S136 Suite – a place of safety for persons to be removed to and assessed under S136 of the Mental Health Act 1983 – to be provided at Millbrook.

The review was completed on 11 December 2006.
