The Business Improvement Board is made up of members nominated from the local business community through the Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry, plus one nominee from the Business School of Nottingham Trent University. The Board also includes three councillors and representatives of trade unions are invited to attend.

The Board looks at the running of the Council and provides advice and guidance from an external point of view. The future focus of the Board will be:

  • reviewing corporate business planning
  • the performance management of major Council development projects
  • planning for improvement in service performance
  • looking at areas across the Council which will be judged in the Comprehensive Performance Assessment.
