Service changes
15 self-service kiosks will be installed in our larger libraries, allowing people to check out their own books and avoid queues.
Mobile libraries will be staffed by one member of staff rather than two.
Libraries will close between Christmas and New Year, when there are fewer customers.
Funding that the Council gives to Nottingham Playhouse will be reduced. Funding for the Classics Season at the Royal Concert Hall will not be extended.
A few sports clubs will see their grant support reduced.
Two shops and one cafe at our country parks will close for six weeks during the quieter winter period, saving £145,000.
The under-used café at Mansfield library will close in April 2010.
Ticket machines will be installed in the car parks at Rufford Abbey.
The Greenwood Community Forest will lose £60,000 of funding.
The Council's six County Contact offices will close, however, the face-to-face advice service will be provided in an alternative way, possibly based in libraries or other council buildings.
