Learning Community Operation Groups

Have a say on adult and community learning courses run in your area.

We are seeking individuals and groups to help further community based learning for adults. We work at the heart of local communities to identify learning needs and to try and ensure those needs are met. If you, or a group that you are involved with, would like to see a particular course or learning activity held locally or you would like to join a Learning Community Operations Group (COG) get in touch with us.

The COGs are managed by the Adult and Community Learning Service and are made up of local residents, colleges, local government, voluntary and other organisations. The groups meet regularly to work on ideas for courses that will benefit local people.

Each COG has its own Local Learning Plan and regularly produces a Local Learning Guide containing useful information on courses or venues running courses in local areas.
