If you work in the independent sector, your organisation may be eligible for additional funding.

Funding can be used for staff training, backfill or any other initiative that will improve the quality of services that you provide.

What funding is available?

Workforce Development Fund through Skills for Care

This new fund replaces the old Training Strategy Implementation (TSI) funding.

Skills for Care supports on-going professional development by contributing towards relevant vocational qualifications. Each year priority areas and potentially service areas will be prioritised and focused upon. The priority areas for 2011-12 are:

  • dementia
  • end of life
  • learning disabilities
  • safeguarding
  • management

Providers can apply as part of an Employer-led Partnership. For more information, please see: www.skillsforcare.org.uk

You can get this once you have completed your National Minimum Data Set account.
