Search tips
To perform a search, enter the words in the Search box at the top of
any page of the site and press Enter or click Go.
If you enter more than one word in the search box, pages that exist
which contain all of your search words will appear in the results followed by pages containing fewer
of the words.
The search uses phrase stemming, which means variations of the word
you enter are also used in the search – for example typing in test will also return pages containing
the words tests, testing, tester etc.
Once you have carried out a search, you may refine or narrow it to produce
more relevant results by ticking services related to your search and clicking Go below the list of services
on the results page. You may also change your search word(s) if you wish and/or exclude Word/PDF files
so they do not appear in search results.
You can access an A-Z of web services or use the Advanced Search by
clicking the appropriate link at the top or bottom of any search results page.
A-Z
The A-Z provides a list of web services in A-Z format, from where you
can click any service to return pages containing information related to that service. If the service
you are looking for does not appear in the A-Z, you can try an A-Z keyword search to find services related
to your keyword. Once you have clicked a service in the A-Z you can either view all pages related to
that service or refine your results further by searching within the service.
Advanced Search
The Advanced Search gives you the option of being more specific about
which word or words to include in, or exclude from, your search, and also lets you search for specific
phrases rather than individual words. In addition you can search only within specific services, within
other areas of the site and/or by file type.
