Talented individuals

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Be a full time resident of Nottinghamshire for the full period of the claim
  and
  Be in full time education in Nottinghamshire for the full period of the claim.
  or
  Be in receipt of disability living allowance /income support/jobseekers allowance for the full period of the claim.
• Be performing at a minimum level of regional representation.  i.e. outside of the county and representing a Nottinghamshire Club.
• Those in receipt of World Class Funding are not eligible for grant-aid.
• Applicants involved in team sports must be competing at National level. i.e. Selected to represent your Country in a National Team (Not a club team competing at international level)
• N.B. Individuals in team sports competing at regional level will be considered for financial support where special financial circumstances are proven. (Parents In receipt of income support/incapacity benefit/job seeker’s allowance)
• Application Forms must be approved by the sports County Governing Body.

Governing Bodies

£250 per year is available to County Governing Bodies to assist towards the cost of organising/participation in inter-county competitions, including associated coaching and training sessions in respect of County Teams or Squads.

• A copy of the projected programme of activities and related costs should be attached to the application.
• Applications should be submitted in advance.
• Approved grants won't be paid in advance.
• Receipted invoices have to accompany the claim.

Community Sports Fund
New criteria for 2008

Grants of up to £2000 to help local sports clubs and county governing bodies are available.

Who can apply?

Clubs and sports organisations within Nottinghamshire

Applications must be discussed and endorsed by your local sports development officer, before sending to Nottinghamshire County Council. Contact details are listed in the guidelines below.

Who can't we award grants to?

• clubs within the City of Nottingham. For information about grant aid in the City please contact the City Sports Development team. tel: 0115 915 2719.
• individual schools.
• local authorities.
• school sport associations.

What can we fund?

• Coach and volunteer education and development
• Talent development
• Travel expenses
• Coaches fees
• Tutor fees
• Publicity and promotion
• Facility Hire
• Sports equipment

What can't we fund?

• general admin costs.
• school taster sessions
• travel costs.
• clothing and team kit.
• equipment other than sports equipment.
• affiliations and subscriptions.
• insurance.
• refreshments.
