In Nottinghamshire we are committed to:

  • Increasing the number of inclusive clubs and supporting clubs for disabled poeple (while ensuring a wider spread of sports with inclusive clubs).
  • Increasing the range of specific sporting opportunities especially with respect of engagement by underrepresented groups.
  • Developing specific strategies and programmes (in line with any relevant Governing Body key interventions) designed to increase the number of disabled people engaged with all aspects of the sporting life.
  • Improving and communicating pathways for disability sports.
  • Promoting sporting programmes to attract new and different participants and audiences.
  • Developing an on-line form which allows individuals to complete and subsequently be signposted to appropriate activity.
  • Ensure disabled people throughout the county benefit from the legacy of 2012.
  • Manage the County Assessment Athletic Day (CAAD) of the Playground 2 Podium (P2P) programme.
