Thank you to all those who took part in the ride and made it such an enjoyable day. You can look up your ride time on the raceahead website at www.raceahead.net/SearchEvents.aspx. Just select the ride you entered and then input your rider number. Unfortunately, if you did not put your rider chip on your wheel (or low down on your bike) then your time may not be recorded. If this is the case the message "We're sorry, we did not find any results that matched your criteria" will appear. Photographs from the event are available on the Marathon-Photos website at www.marathon-photos.com. Just select Great Nottinghamshire Bike Ride in the events section and enter your rider number to see if your photos are there.

There were four different types of rides all of which started and finished at the National Water Sports Centre, Holme Pierrepont:

  • 100 mile ride - a sportive route for the more serious cyclist that took in North Nottinghamshire and parts of Sherwood Forest
  • 50 mile ride - a challenge ride that went to Newark before looping back to Holme Pierrepont
  • 18 mile ride - a community ride that went to Shelford before looping back to Holme Pierrepont
  • Lap challenge - a ride for young cyclists on a closed circuit around Holme Pierrepont.

Freeth Cartwright logoFor the first time there was also the Freeth Cartwright corporate challenge for businesses. Organisations entered a team of five into either the 18 or 50 mile ride. The aim is to raise at least £50,000 for the Great Notts Bike Ride's five nominated charities, with the top fundraising business taking the corporate challenge title.
