New for 2008 at Rufford Abbey Country Park - Nottinghamshiore County Council

The Mill Tea Shop

Opening February half term 2008 - a new seasonal tea shop located in what was once the Millwright's office, on the ground floor of Rufford Corn Mill. A handy new place to stop for refreshments on a stroll around the lake.

The Children's Play Village

Not an adventure playground but a 'play landscape' for young children (ages 4 - 8). Is it a fort, an ancient village or a castle? In a child's imagination it could be any of these. Look out for the 'Singing Stone' and the sandpit tower.

The Children's Garden

Gradually we are developing a new area of the Formal Gardens especially for young children and their families. Play the 'Stone Harp', try out the Talking Flowers, weave through the log maze or take a peep inside the wicker beehives. As the year progresses we will be adding more fun features to enjoy together.

The Talbot Suite

The top floor of Rufford Sawmill has now been renovated to create the Talbot Suite - a fine new function room for special events. We are now taking bookings for civil weddings and partnership celebrations.
