Making History
In 1996 young people in East Bridgford formed a club with the aim of creating a skatepark in the village. Their plan was to build a selection of ramps to be used by BMXs, rollerbladers, skateboarders and skaters for performing a selection of tricks mostly in the air. They submitted their proposals with ramp plans to East Bridgford Parish Council, which supported them and, with the young people, developed and built the skatepark. This picture shows the plans for one of the ramps, the Midi Quarter Pipe.
