Typed certified copies can be supplied of the following records:
- Entries from parish registers: baptisms, marriages and burials
- Entries from confirmation registers
- Entries from court registers
- Entries from school admission registers
- Entries from vehicle licensing registers
This service is available by post. Orders can be made in person, and completed certified copies can be collected from the archives, but orders cannot be processed on demand, or while you wait. If you do want to collect your certified copy from archives, it may be advisable to contact us before visiting to find out if the copy is ready.
Cost:
- £9.00 per entry
- Postage and handling: £1.80 per order
- Payment needs to be made in advance
How to order:
- In the first instance it is essential to contact us with details of the document you wish to have copied. We can then confirm if we hold the relevant information.
- You will need to locate the exact entry. For parish register copies, a date and a specified register will be needed.
- Print out a copy of the Request for Certified Copy Form [PDF 40KB]
. - Complete the form with details of the entry and your name and address.
- Fax or post the form to the archives office, together with payment. Please do not email the form to us as an email attachment.
- Payment should be made in sterling. Cheques or mail orders should be made payable to Nottinghamshire County Council.
- Unfortunately, we cannot accept payment by credit card.
- Payment must be received with your completed order form before the certified copy will be completed.
