Section Four - Developing Services in Partnership 1. Why do we need to deliver services in partnership?

We know we need to do this because children, young people and families tell us that they want us to co-ordinate our services. Our information about children and young people in Nottinghamshire highlights the complex way that outcomes for children and young people are inter-linked. Vulnerable children and young people often face many difficulties in several areas of their lives. National and local research shows that to keep children safe and to improve their well-being, we need to work together.

We need to work in partnership at all levels. Workers who directly support families need to work together and share information. We need to manage our services so that we allocate time to working in an integrated way. At a strategic level, we need to work together to plan and commission the right services for Nottinghamshire.
