The County Playdays are back!!
This August there will be a whole range of activities for youngsters accompanied by their mums, dads or carers. There will be lots of arts and crafts activities, water challenges, space hopper racing, fun outdoors and environmental play with mud and clay. By popular demand there are circus skills and under 5’s activities.
Entrance to the playdays and all the activities is Free. There’s no need to book as there is room for everyone. Just come along between 1pm and 4pm or ring 01623 434031 for more details.

Annual Performance Assessment rates the County Council’s Children and Young People’s Services as “good”
The County Council’s Children and Young People’s Services department has now received details of the Ofsted judgements following the Annual Performance Assessment (APA) of its services in 2008.
The overall assessment of the effectiveness of the department’s services is ‘good’. This is an improvement on the 2007 rating.
Anthony May, the County Council’s Corporate Director for Children and Young People’s Services, said; “These results are very good indeed and reflect a real team effort across all our services”.
