St Michael's is still highly subsidised by the County Council and offers schools excellent value for money. Charges to schools for the period 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012 are detailed below. Charges for bookings after 1 April 2012 will be confirmed to schools during the spring term.

Accommodation charges are fully remitted in respect of pupils eligible for free school meals for visits during school time and can be claimed back after the visit. Pupils eligible for free school meals can also claim a subsidy towards the midday food costs. Details of how to do this are in the terms and conditions sent with your booking confirmation letter.

Schools will be charged for use of the centre through Nottinghamshire County Council's sales database.

Accommodation charges (Nottinghamshire County Schools - non Academies) 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012

All prices include four free staff places

Visits of 5 nights or more        £505.00 per night (£14.85 x 34 pupils)

Visits of 4 nights                     £527.00 per night (£15.50 x 34 pupils)

Visits of 3 nights                     £552.00 per night (£16.24 x 34 pupils)

Visits of 2 nights (weekdays)  £612.00 per night (£18.00 x 34 pupils)

2 nights (summer term weekends)  £520.00 per night (£15.30 x 34 pupils)

2 nights (Sept 2011 to Mar 2012 weekends)  £420.00 per night (£12.35 x 34 pupils)

Split weeks and multiple bookings are charged at the relevant rate for the length of stay of each group of pupils.

Charges include the provision of accommodation, bed linen, outdoor clothing and equipment, curriculum materials, course planning, support from a centre teacher each day if required, and three hours' catering support for each school day (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 11.30am) of the visit.

Additional Options

Use of St Michael's cottage for extra staff/adults during a centre booking £43.00 per night

Extra instructional staff - in addition to the standard teaching support provided at the centre, £85 per half day

Catering Option - menu planning and food purchase. £8.25 per person per day. For this the centre will plan a menu in consultation with the school, and undertake all food purchase and delivery to the centre.
