Nottinghamshire says "ay up me duck" to "Hello - the 2011 National Year of Communication"
Why don’t you join us?
2011 is the National Year of Communication and to celebrate the Communications Trust is launching a national campaign - Hello - a year to help all children communicate.
Importance of good communication
The campaign hopes to increase understanding of how important it is for children and young people to develop good communication skills. Monthly themes will be happening throughout the year to highlight key aspects of children’s communication development.
New strategy
Nottinghamshire will launch its Language for Life strategy in March 2011.
The strategy aims to ensure that all agencies work together with parents and communities, to give all children the chance to develop their language and communication skills.
Children will then be able to achieve their best educationally and contribute positively to their community.
