Training on children and young people's participation
The Training Group
The Training Group is a multi-agency group of staff who meet regularly to develop the delivery of participation training across the County. The Training Group consists of representatives from the voluntary sector, Nottinghamshire County Council, District Councils and Connexions.
The Training Group deliver the following courses:
Introduction to children & young people's participation - half day course designed for all staff working with children and young people in the county.
Train the Trainer - two day course designed to provide staff with the tools to deliver and cascade the Introduction to participation training to other members of staff within their teams.
Research & Evaluation - one day course providing staff with the tools and techniques required to carry out effective surveys and analyse results.
Involving children, young people, parents and families in the recruitment and selection of staff - one day course designed to enable staff to involve families in all aspects of the recruitment process. The course also enables staff to cascade the learning to other members of staff within their teams.
Good Practice in Participation - one day workshop full of ideas and tips on effective participation.
