Sure Start Children's Centre services bring together childcare, early education, health and family support services for families with children under 5 years old.

They aim to tackle child poverty and social exclusion by working with parents-to-be, parents, carers and children to promote physical, intellectual and social development of babies and young children so they have the best start in life.

Sure Start Children's Centre services bring together service providers from the statutory sector like health, social services and early education as well as voluntary, private and community organisations and parents themselves to provide integrated services for children and their families.

There are currently 59 Sure Start Children's Centre services in Nottinghamshire. They are being developed by Nottinghamshire County Council and key partner agencies including Notts Community Health, North Notts College and Family Action.
