Nottinghamshire Child Poverty Needs Assessment 2011

In line with new statutory duties to tackle child poverty, Nottinghamshire County Council and its partners have prepared and published a child poverty needs assessment [PDF 11.9MB]pdf logo

The needs assessment was developed by a small partnership group to help understand the issues for Nottinghamshire, including who is most at risk, what is the impact of child poverty on children and families and what should be done to effectively tackle child poverty.

The needs assessment and its executive summary [PDF 1.14MB]pdf logo provide a list of key headlines which summarise the picture for Nottinghamshire, as well as a list of recommendations to ensure we can work together to reduce the levels of child poverty and reduce the impact of poverty on children and families.

Child Poverty Literature Review 2011

To support the development of the Nottinghamshire child poverty needs assessment, a literature review [PDF 283KB]pdf logo was completed to highlight research which identifies successful interventions and approaches to tackling child poverty.  The findings have been included in a simple table and have been used to shape the recommendations in our needs assessment and subsequent strategy.

Service Mapping Report

Thanks to those of you who took time out to complete our child poverty service mapping exercise back in December 2010.  The findings have been used in the Nottinghamshire Child Poverty Needs Assessment. A report from the service mapping exercise [PDF 456KB]pdf logo is available to download.
