Out of school clubs are for school aged children and are often called kids clubs.

They can take place before or after school or during the school holidays, normally between the hours of 7.30am and 6.00pm.

Many out of school clubs are based in school premises, youth or community centres. Some day nurseries offer out of school care too. All out of school clubs that are open for over two hours and offer care to children aged under eight must be registered with Ofsted.
