Minerals and waste planning

Nottinghamshire County Council is the minerals and waste planning authority for the county, with the exception of the City of Nottingham, which is a unitary authority.

There are two basic duties that the minerals and waste planning authority must do and these are to:

  • Prepare the Minerals and Waste Development Framework.
  • Exercise its duties of development control.
  • Our environment
