Sustainable Energy Policy Framework (2009)
After a consultation period from February to April 2009, the Study entitled 'Towards a Sustainable Energy Policy for Nottinghamshire' concluded with the release of a Sustainable Energy Policy Framework document in November 2009. The Policy Framework (which has an Executive Summary) aims to inform local development planning by providing evidence for the case for higher energy performance standards in new development across the county.
A separate Report of Consultation summarises the views expressed at the consultation seminar in February 2009 and the written comments subsequently received in the consultation period; and it sets out the responses of NSEPP which led to changes incorporated into the final Policy Framework.

The above work has been co-ordinated by Nottinghamshire County Council on behalf of the Nottinghamshire Sustainable Energy Planning Partnership (NSEPP) which is made up of all the Nottinghamshire Districts together with Nottingham City Council.
Presentations from Training Events (March 2010)
One of the conclusions of the Policy Framework is that further training in sustainable energy skills is recommended for local authority planning officers to assist in implementing emerging policies. To that end, NSEPP organised two Seminars in March 2010 under the heading of ‘Learning the Language of Low Carbon’.
One was held at County Hall, West Bridgford (3 March) and the other at the Civic Centre, Mansfield (10 March). Both were well attended, attracting a total of 70 participants (predominantly the target audience), and were enabled by a facilitator plus six guest speakers and six additional workshop leaders.
All the available powerpoint presentations can be accessed below (by venue).
